How to create a product?

Add a new product or service to your Products and Services catalog to find it quickly for your upcoming proposals.

Products can belong to 4 categories (room, catering product, space rental, and other services) and have multiple types within these categories.

Registered products allow you to offer services with default VAT and descriptions, already translated if necessary, and easily identifiable in your sales statistics analysis.

You can add products manually from Venues > Products > Add a product:

You can choose the type of product:

You can then:

  • Associate a space with the product

When a space is associated with a product and a team member is associated with that space, the team member is automatically identified on the BEO of a file containing this product.

  • Create the product name in 7 languages

  • Create the product description in 7 languages

To ensure proposals are translated, it is essential to translate the names and descriptions of your products (no automatic translation).

  • Create information for the team (staff member) that will be displayed in the BEO

  • Specify whether the product is a purchase/resale product or not (in which case you can indicate the purchase price)

  • Choose whether the dates are still undetermined by default

  • Choose whether the product should appear as “optional” or not to encourage upsells. For optional products, the product amount will not be included in the total of the commercial proposal generated.

To have the product actually included in the proposal, you must check the "Include" box. The client also has the option to check this "Include" box from their Backyou space.

  • Choose whether the product can be sold outside a package or not

  • Fill in the VAT rate

  • Fill in the unit selling price to the client including tax

  • Fill in the default product schedule

  • Choose not to define a price (you will then need to specify the price in each proposal)
